The Mayweather-Hatton or Hatton-Mayweather fight is just hours away and English sports buff are already getting ready for Ricky Hatton's gargantuan task of dethroning the American Floyd Mayweather as the best pound-for-pound boxer today. But English fans are seething because of the way things are going against McLaren.
We all know that 100 million dollar fine may be too much for some teams but the FIA saw it fit that McLaren should pay it as a result of being given Ferrari information. Furthermore, last season may have been the year that McLaren will finally beat Ferrari to the championship as Renault was left struggling. But, the FIA stripped McLaren of all its points. That's for allegedly having Ferrari technology on their car.
Now, I am just wondering why the FIA did not order McLaren to eliminate those supposedly Ferrari technology from their cars. Can anybody tell me why there was no mention about those after the verdict has been announced? In fact, why did the FIA not look into Stepney's allegation that Ferrari also benefited from McLaren technical data as he and Coughlan are sharing information? These things are enough to make even cool tempered McLaren fans to curse Max Mosley and the Ferrari.
And recently, it was Renault which was on the receiving end of a spying scandal after an employee of theirs who left McLaren went to Renault's office with technical information about McLaren cars. And the FIA came up with the verdict guilty but did not punish Renault. I mean, are they serious? Formula One is a sport I have been following since I was a kid and it just pains me that there seems to be no fairness in the sport anymore.
